Mr. Glen Christian, 4th VICE PRESIDENT

Born in Brandon Hill, Clarendon, Glen Christian attended Brandon Hill Elementary School, Mico College and the College of Arts Science & Technology (now UTECH). Prior to entering Mico College he had his first working experience as a postman. Upon graduation he taught at Buff Bay Primary and then at St. Augustine's Boys' Home in Clarendon.

Mr. Christian entered the pharmaceutical industry in 1971 working as a general sales representative, a medical representative and then as a Sales Manager. He is currently the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cari-Med Limited and Kirk Distributors Limited. He serves as a Director of the Chamber of Commerce and chairs the Pharmacy Council Committee of the Chamber. He also serves as Chairman of the Kidney Support Foundation and Chairman of the Fund-raising committee for the Healing Ministry of Bethel Baptist Church. He is a member of the Chase Board, the Kings House Medical Voluntary Committee and UTECH’s Board of Graduate Studies, Research and Entrepaneurship.

Glen Christian received the Observer Business Leader Award for 2007 and was awarded the Governor General Achievement Award in 1995 and the Order of Distinction in 2003. A Justice of the Peace, he is an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Downtown Kingston.

He is married to Marva and has four children.
