Mr. Noel daCosta, 2004 - 2006

Noel daCosta is currently Corporate Relations Director for Diageo, covering Central America and the Caribbean, as well as a Director of Desnoes and Geddes Ltd.
He has worked for Red Stripe, for over 30 years, filling such roles as: Chief Engineer, Brewmaster, Technical Director, and Corporate Relations Director.

A Chemical engineer by training, he has postgraduate degrees in Engineering and Business Administration, as well as professional qualifications in Brewing, Insurance and Wine judging.
Noel daCosta is a registered engineer in Jamaica, and a Fellow of the Jamaica Institution of Engineers. He is also a chartered engineer in the UK and a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (UK).

He has held directorships in many organisations in the private and public sector covering the areas of Manufacturing, Finance, Insurance, Engineering, Academia and Regulation.

Noel daCosta is a Director and immediate past president of the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce, and is currently a vice President of the Caribbean Association of Industry and Commerce.

He is the current Chairman of United Way of Jamaica.

Noel daCosta currently chairs a joint public/private sector multi-disciplinary committee that is preparing a modern Building Code and Building Act for Jamaica.
