Mr. Frank Anthony Ray, 2006 - 2009

Frank Anthony Ray is the Director of External Affairs at the Jamaica Public Service Co. Ltd., where he has served since January 2002. His role includes, among other things, managing the departments which handle JPS’ external relationships. These are: Corporate Communication; Community Relations; and Government and Regulatory Affairs. Prior to his position at JPS, Mr. Ray served as Director of Corporate Affairs, at the then Desnoes and Geddes Ltd., from 1987-2000.

Frank Ray’s long career in media and advertising, started when he began as a reporter at the Daily Gleaner Company. He went on to become Chief News Editor and Western Bureau Chief, at the national television station, Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation (JBC). He has also held the position of Public Relations Manager at Alcoa Minerals of Jamaica and Director of Public Relations & Advertising at the Jamaica Tourist Board.

Mr. Ray also serves in the wider community, through his involvement in local civic groups, such as The Rotary Club of Spanish Town and the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce, of which he is a member of the Board of Directors.

He is married with three adult children and spends most of his spare time working with the Missionaries of the Poor.
